Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed condolences in connection with the death of the president, the Foreign Minister and other senior Iranian persons as a result of the helicopter crash.

“I express the deepest condolences to the friendly and fraternal people and the government of Iran, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Ali Khameni, as well as the families of Mr. Raisi and other dead,” the appeal says.
President Erdogan emphasized that Turkey supports neighboring Iran on these difficult and tragic days, as it was before in such situations.
