Assistant US Deputy Secretary of State on Europe and Eurasia Eraik Olson will visit the South Caucasus, transfers Interfax with reference to the US Embassy in Armenia.
“Eric Olon will visit Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia to stimulate regional cooperation and discussing bilateral issues,” the embassy says.
It is noted that Olson on November 2-4 will take part in a meeting of the leaders of the US missions in the region of the South Caucasus, which will be held in Yerevan. The meeting will be attended by US Ambassadors in Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, the American co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group Andrew Schaefer, Department of Washington Office of the US International Development Agency Alexander Sokolovsky.
Previous meetings of US heads in the South Caucasus were held in 2019 in Baku and in 2018 in Tbilisi.
