Estonia urged to strengthen eastern Flank of NATO

Estonian Prime Minister Kai Callas called for strengthening the eastern Flank of NATO. It is reported by TASS.

“Events in Ukraine clearly show that NATO is necessary for an enhanced presence on the eastern flank. For this, NATO needs to quickly move from the position of deterrence to the defense,” Kallas said during a video conference with the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg and the Prime Ministers of Latvia and the Prime Ministers of Latvia and the Prime Ministers of Latvia Lithuania.

According to Callas, the Baltic countries will go to the Blok summit in Madrid with a single position, which consists in the fact that the presence of NATO in the region of the Baltic Sea should be strengthened on land, sea and in the air.
