illegal “referendums” (on the territory of Ukraine), under any circumstances, can not be considered as the free expression of the will of people living in these regions located in conditions of constant military threat and intimidation from Russia, “said EU, Josep Borrel, head of the EU diplomacy who is quoted by Euraactiv.
He promised to bring to justice everyone who is involved in the “referendum” and other violations of international law in Ukraine. Borrel also warned of additional restrictive measures against Russia.
According to him, in response to the “referendums” of the EU can expand “black lists”, introduce prohibitions on trade, tourism and financing of the annexed regions. But sectoral sanctions can also be discussed.
“It really depends on what the member states want, but the referendums plus mass killings similar to what were in raisins can lead to the seventh package,” the EU representative explained.
