EU Wants To Conclude Deal With Ukraine On Rare Earth Minerals

The European Union (EU), as well as the United States, announced his desire to conclude an agreement with Ukraine on rare earth minerals. This was reported by European media with reference to the European Commissioner Stefan Sejurn.

In particular, Sejurn noted that the EU invited Ukraine to conclude a mutually beneficial agreement on rare earth minerals, which was transferred to the Ukrainian side during a visit to Kyiv on February 24.

According to the European Commissioner, Brussels presented the Ukrainian authorities with a “competing” proposal.

”21 out of 30 most important elements that Europe needs, can be provided to Ukraine as part of a mutually beneficial partnership. Europe will never offer a deal that will not bring benefits to both parties,” said Sejurn.

In early February, US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine owes hundreds of billions of dollars for the assistance provided by the United States, as well as the intention to conclude an agreement on rare earth minerals in the amount of $ 500 billion with Kiev.
