The European Union intends to send a new observant mission to Armenia in Armenia, this time not for two months, but for at least two years, the Armenian Radio Liberty service reports.
This project last week was adopted by the European Council Policy and Security Committee, and yesterday it was approved by the main structure engaged in observation missions – the Committee on Civil Affairs of Anti -Crisis Management. Moreover, unlike a group of 40 people directed in October last year, which was stationed on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, this time European observers will patrol the entire territory of Armenia. As in the previous mission, this time they will be unarmed.
How many observers will arrive, officially has not yet been reported. However, according to the publication, the new mission will include about two hundred European specialists.
