The European Union (EU) will provide Ukraine with a new package of humanitarian aid in the amount of 40 million euros.
According to the European Commission, additional humanitarian aid is provided for in connection with the approaching winter cold and attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure.
EU will allocate an additional 40 million euros as humanitarian assistance. 35 million euros from this amount will be aimed at humanitarian projects in Ukraine, and 5 million euros – to support Ukrainians in Moldova, the message will say.
Financing will go to the repair of damaged buildings, providing electricity and heating, as well as to provide housing to those in need, ”the European Commission said.
Since February 2022, the European Commission allocated to Ukraine 966 million euros for various humanitarian aid programs, – recalled in Brussels.
