The European Union will make new sanctions, in particular, for Belarus, reacting to its role in the war that Russia wages against Ukraine, the chairman of the European Commission of Ursula von Lyaine said on Tuesday in Brussels.
According to her, the EU will continue to “do everything in their abilities to support the brave Ukrainian people.”
“We will continue to exert pressure on the Kremlin with the sanctions regime as long as it will need, we will expand these sanctions for those who support the Russian war, such as Belarus or Iran,” she explained.
In addition, the head of the European Commission assured that the EU would continue to support Ukraine in financial, economic and humanitarian terms as much as it will be needed.
