EU Will Provide Turkey Grants In Amount Of 310 Million Euros In Period 2025-2027

In the period from 2025 to 2027, Turkey will be provided with a grant of 310 million euros. This was announced in an interview with an anadol correspondent by the representative of the European Union delegation (EU) in Turkey Yurgis Vilchinskas.

He noted that the grant will be provided as part of the “IPA) tool to increase the competitiveness of companies in Turkey.

According to Vilchinskas, the EU plans to allocate 780 million euros for financial support for the Turkish green transformation process, and will also continue to support the process of green and digital transformation.

The representative of the EU delegation indicated that from 2025 to the end of 2027, Turkey will be provided with a grant of 310 million euros within the framework of IPA, covering such priority directions as civil society, basic rights, environment, energy, transport, education, education, education Employment and competitiveness.

“We want companies in Turkey to turn into environmentally friendly and stable enterprises, as well as we carry out work in order to increase their competitiveness,” Vilchinskas said, drawing attention to trade relations between Turkey and the EU.

“We want the companies to work more on digitalization and better correspond to the expectations of its customers,” he explained.

Speaking about the possible introduction of additional customs duties in relation to the EU after taking office of US President Donald Trump, a representative of the EU delegation said that Brussels wants to avoid any disagreement in relations with Washington.

“I do not want to cause any speculation on this subject. However, no statements regarding the likelihood of this were received by the United States. The United States is one of the countries with which we have the largest trade, so we want to avoid any disagreement” – he said.
