European officials believe that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will try to organize early elections of the head of state in the republic, writes Die Welt with reference to sources.
According to the publication, the European Union does not exclude that voting in Turkey may not be held in 2023, but already in the fall of this year.
“There are several signs that President Erdogan will probably prefer the election this year, probably in the fall. This can happen in a relatively short term,” the newspaper sources among EU diplomats say.
