Europe is preparing to complete import of gas from Russia

The European Union is preparing a plan for a complete rejection of Russian gas, the European Commissioner in Energy Kadri Simson said.

She clarified that we are talking about normalizing supplies in industry, but restrictions on households will not be introduced, writes Financial Times.

The publication indicates that industry consumes 27% of all gas supplied to the EU, especially the chemical, food and glass industries.

EU intends to stock up as a large volume of gas and discusses an increase in supplies from Israel through Egypt. In addition, Brussels wants to resume energy cooperation with Algeria.
