Russia will not allow the President of Belarus to Alexander Lukashenko to realize the threats about overlapping gas supplies through the country to Europe, Jozep Borrel’s diplomacy reported.
“Lukashenko … If … could (overlapping the gas supply to Europe), he would do it, but the Russians will not allow him, because they sell gas,” – quotes his RIA news with reference to France 24.
Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the supply of gas and goods through Belarus to the European Union could be blocked in the event of introducing new sanctions. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that theoretically, Lukashenko can give an indication of the overlapping of Russian gas to Europe, but this will be a violation of the transit contract. At the same time, Putin expressed hope that it would not reach this.
