The European Commission considers the possibility of mitigating restrictions on the transportation of coal and related goods from Russia, writes Bloomberg.
The process is at the stage of discussion. The EC believes that relief should go “to overcome the food and energy danger in the world.” Earlier, the commission stated that sanctions prohibit the EU operators transfer coal and provide insurance services for all supplies of such products from Russia.
A number of members of the European Union, including Poland and the Baltic countries, have already opposed new instructions and called not to publish a document without a detailed discussion.
