The volume of sea imports of diesel fuel from Asia to the EU countries (EU) in August can reach a five -month peak against the background of an increase in oil and gas prices, writes Bloomberg.
As notes the publication, for August it is planned to send several more vessels from Asia to Europe, which will deliver about 3 million barrels of diesel fuel to the EU, which will become the highest figure in five months in terms of barrels per day. It is also expected that deliveries from the Middle East to Europe will increase. According to the agency, an increase in diesel fuel reserves will be facilitated by the “risk of interruptions in the supply of Russian gas and fears of EU countries regarding energy security.” In 2022, gas prices in the European Union rose almost three times, significantly exceeding the increase in oil prices.
