The European Union expressed concern about the exacerbation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, calling the parties to resume negotiations for a comprehensive settlement of unresolved issues, referred to in the statement of the foreign policy service of the Union.
“EU calls on Armenia and Azerbaijan to show maximum restraint, take the forces located in the area, and respect the obligations under two trilateral agreements. We call on both sides to return to negotiations to achieve a comprehensive settlement of unresolved issues, including the demarcation of the border,” notes in the statement of the European Foreign Service.
The European Union also confirmed the commitment to work with Azerbaijan and Armenia to overcome the voltage and constructing a safe, stable and peaceful South Caucasus.
