The European Union summit could not coordinate the ceiling of gas prices and the principle of general procurement of this fuel. The decision was postponed until December 19. This is stated on Thursday, December 15, in the final statement of the summit, said Barend Leits, spokeswoman for the chairman of the European Council.
“The Summit called on the European Union Council to finalize the proposals to increase solidarity by better coordination of gas procurement, in particular, through the EU energy platform, gas exchange across the border and creating reliable price guidelines,” the document says.
