The European Union (EU) welcomes Montenegro’s ban on the flight over its territory of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov for a visit to Serbia, the representative of the EU foreign policy Peter Stano,
told Montenegrin national television.
“We welcome the complete consent of Montenegro with the foreign policy and the EU Security Policy, including restrictive measures and their practical application, as evidenced by the ban on the flight of the aircraft [Russian Foreign Minister Sergei] Lavrov,” TASS quotes.
He noted that the European Union and many countries apply sanctions prohibiting Russian aircraft to fly over their territory, and also introduce a ban on the entry of high -ranking persons from Russia.
