The European Union is discussing the abolition of sanctions against some Russian businessmen. According to EU lawyers, sanctions could be imposed on “weak grounds”, Bloomberg writes with reference to sources. Who is talking about, the publication does not specify.
About 30 people filed a court with the EU with a request to exclude them from the sanctions lists, and about 10 Russians asked to exclude them directly at the European Union.
“The Law Service of the European Council informed the EU to Wednesday that some of these requests were justified, since the information provided by persons who fell under sanctions showed that the evidence that reinforces the punishment either weak, outdated or wrong” – writes Bloomberg.
The Speaker on Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the EU dispended commenting, referring to confidential current discussions, adds the publication.
