Several representatives of the EU member countries are inclined to concessions of Hungary about Russian oil. They discuss the temporary preservation of fuel exports from Russia through the Druzhba oil pipeline with the introduction of a comprehensive embargo for the supply of Russian energy resources, writes Bloomberg with reference to sources familiar with the situation.
According to the agency, the compromise version of the embargo will allow Hungary to win the time to coordinate the technical details of the cessation of fuel supply through “friendship”. “Some EU leaders are inclined to an option in which the EU will prohibit the import of Russian oil by sea and at the same time temporarily allow supplying pipelines,” the probable conditions of the compromise are specified.
At the same time, the terms for which the European Union expects to save pipeline deliveries are not mentioned in the material.
