Head of European diplomacy Josep Borrel predicted a blow to the EU economy, if energy prices remain high in 2022. He wrote about it in his blog.
“If energy prices remain high for 2022, stimulating inflation, it will seriously affect the restoration of the pandemic,” Borrel wrote.
“Lenta.ru” reminds that European underground gas storage facilities (PCG) as of the beginning of February have been empty by 85 percent of the fuel injected in the summer. According to the GAS Infrastructure EUROPE Association, the volume of active gas in European underground storage facilities was 27 percent, or 13.4 billion cubic meters less than last year’s level. On February 3, fuel reserves were 2.7 billion cubic meters less than the minimum indicator on this date.
