The European Union, within the framework of the European Fund of the World, allocated 70 million euros Moldova and Georgia to support the armed forces, the EU Council reports on Thursday.
The statement notes that this is the third packet of assistance for both countries. As part of the assistance, Moldova will receive 40 million euros, Georgia – 30 million euros.
The European Foundation of the World was created in March 2021 to finance actions within the framework of joint foreign policy and EU security policy in the military and defense regions.
In March, the EU decided to increase the European Fund of the World to 8 billion euros.
