The European Union warned of the possible escalation of the conflict of Serbia and Kosovo after they could not come to an agreement to decision a dispute on car license plates used by ethnic Serbs. It is reported by Reuters.

He also said that the European Union put forward a proposal that would reduce tension. It was adopted by President of Serbia Alexander Vucic, but not Prime Minister Kosovo Albin Kurti.
Josep Borrell emphasized that he would inform the EU member states about “non-compliance with the two countries of its international legal obligations” and warned that, given their commitment to entry into the bloc, they should act accordingly.
