European Union will allocate financial assistance for victims of conflict on Kyrgyz-Tajik border

the European Union will allocate more than € 270 thousand as humanitarian assistance for residents of the border regions of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, which suffered in the September border conflict. This was reported by the press service of the EU representative office in Tajikistan.

“This assistance will contribute to the support of about 12 thousand people in the most affected areas of the Batken region of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the Sogdian region, the Rashta Valley and the Lakhsky district of the Republic of Tajikistan,” the department explained.

Money will be sent through the Society of the Red Crescent of Kyrgyzstan and the Society of the Red Crescent of Tajikistan.
