The European Union has developed a new sanctions package that endows it with broad powers to persecute persons inside and outside the EU, which helps to circumvent European sanctions against Russia. This package allows you to bring “individuals and legal entities, organizations and companies” in black lists, Bloomberg said with reference to informed sources.
As the agency notes, the introduction of an extra -territorial aspect into the sanctions mechanism of both individuals and entire companies even outside the law of the EU, marks a large shift in the European Union policy. Penalty measures can continue to be, for example, applied to persons who import prohibited Russian goods to the EU through a third country, hiding their real country of origin, or to export prohibited goods to Russia.
