EUROZONE Economy Increased By 0.4% In Third Quarter

The EUROZONA economy in the third quarter increased by 0.4 percent compared to the previous quarter, follows from the statistical service of the European Union (Eurostat).

Compared to the same period last year, GDP in the eurozone increased by 0.9 percent in the third quarter.

The market expectations were that GDP in the eurozone would increase by 0.2 percent in quarterly calculus and by 0.8 percent in annual calculus. It is noteworthy that the published data turned out to be above the market expectations.

Given the seasonal vibrations of GDP in the EU, increased by 0.3 percent in quarterly calculus and by 0.9 percent in the annual calculus in the third quarter of the year.

In Germany, GDP in the third quarter grew by 0.2, in France by 0.4, in Spain- by 0.8 percent, and in Italy- remained unchanged.

Germany GDP compared to the same period last year in the third quarter decreased by 0.2 percent. In France, this indicator grew by 1.3, in Italy – by 0.4, in Spain – by 3.4 percent.
