The representative of the Russian Prosecutor General Boris Loquy, requested 24 years a colony for the ex-advocated ex-adviser of the head of Roscosmos, Ivan Safronov, Russian media reports.
“The representative of the state prosecution demanded to find Safronov guilty of Gosizmen and appoint him a punishment in the form of 24 years in prison with serving in a maximum security colony,” the Moscow City Court said in a statement.
According to the FSB of Russia, Safronov from 2015 to 2019, he was engaged in the collection of secret information on the military-technical cooperation of the Russian Federation with the states included in the organization of the collective security agreement (CSTO) and the countries of the Middle East, Africa and the Balkan Peninsula.
Recall that Safronov was arrested on July 7 for two months in the case of the Stateizer. At the same time, Roscosmos said that he had no access to state secret. The journalist himself refused to make a deal with the investigation and categorically denies his guilt.
