The Investigative Department of the National Security Service (SNB) of Armenia charged the former general director of the Armenian nuclear power plant Gagik Markosyan for theft of more than $ 1 million

In particular, the general director without any need in 2011 purchased an incomplete set of reinforcement (14 units) from the Russian company Novenergoprom at an unreasonably high price (33.54 million rubles).

On December 22, at the initiative of the prosecutor’s office, production was launched against Markosyan. The case was sent to the Investigative Department of the SNB. On January 31, Markosyan was charged.
Note that this is not the first criminal case against Markosyan. Back in 2016, he and other representatives of the former management of the nuclear power plant was charged with another charge in connection with the theft on an especially large scale.
