In Baku, the lawsuit in the criminal case of the ex-chairman of the Sabail municipality Ahmed Huseynov, accused of large-scale fraud, continues.
According to haqqın.az, the prosecutor announced the indictment at the hearing.
During the investigation, it turned out that A. Guseynov in 2003-2009, without the knowledge of members of the municipality, sold 3,200 square meters of industrial, transport, communications, defense and other purposes located along the Salyansky highway. Huseynov is also accused of not leaving the seal of the Sabail municipality to the new mayor chosen in 2010, hiding it in his place. In 2019, he, together with accomplices, used this seal to make a fake document.
The investigation found that Huseynov, together with accomplices, tried to sell land plots with a total value of 1 million 824 thousand manat. Most of these sites were in state property, the rest was on the balance of the municipality.
The victims of the case recognized the civil service in real estate under the Ministry of Economy and the Sabail District Municipality. Huseynov is under the subscription about the lower room. He was charged under Articles 29, 178.4, 309.1, 313 and 320 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
The ex-head of the municipality itself denies all the accusations. The trial continues.
