Prosecutor General of Moldova announced a new accusation to ex -president Igor Dodon in the case of illegal purchases of electricity – the so -called “Energocom case”. This was reported by “European Pravda” with reference to the press service of the Moldavian Prosecutor General’s Office.
According to the report, the charges against Dodon were brought on the basis of his actions in 2008-2009 during his stay in the position of Minister of Economics and Trade.
“He (Dodon) is accused of taking this post, he signed a decree on the basis of which in May 2008 the general director of Energocom concluded a contract for the purchase of electricity at an inflated price with the Hungarian company, causing the state damage in the amount of 11, 9 million dollars, ”the report said.
The ex-president of Moldova himself in his Telegram channel called the accusations politically motivated and stated that they could not be proved.
