Medzhidov was imprisoned in the courtroom. Previously, a preventive measure in the form of house arrest was chosen to him.
His accomplice Firyaz Farmanov was sentenced to 4 years conditionally and a fine of 800 thousand rubles.
According to the media, the former official is accused of embezzlement of 108 million rubles from the Ministry of Defense. These funds were allocated for the production of the RSP-10MN-1 planting radar system.
