The former Prime Minister of Georgia, the chairman of the Georgian Dream party, Irakli Garibashvili, announced the departure from politics. He stated this at a briefing in the party’s office, the Georgian media reports.
“Now I no longer see the need to stay as chairman of the party and in politics as a whole, so I decided to leave the post of chairman of the” Georgian Dream “and leave politics, – the words of the ex -Prime Minister are given.
Garibashvili recalled that “twice was the prime minister, Minister of Defense, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and for the past two years the chairman of the ruling party of Georgia.” “We have achieved peace, stability and development of the country, strengthened the country’s sovereignty, today I can say that all these years I sincerely fulfilled my duty to the country and the party. I have been a faithful soldier of the” Georgian Dream “and our country, I wish you good luck to the whole team,” Garibashvili said.
