Expert of Ministry of Health urged to monitor food during holidays

Planning diseases of the liver and biliary tract, food consumption on holidays should be reduced. According to the Haqqin.az correspondent, this was announced on the official page of the ministry on Instagram by a gastroenterologist, specialist of the Ministry of Health Emin Mammadov.

“The period when gallstone is most often manifested, the holidays. If a patient suffering from gallstone disease will have fatty foods that is not in its daily diet, this will shift the gallstone and the disease will exacerbate,” warned Mamedov.

The specialist said that the number of appeals associated with alcohol poisoning is also increasing:

“The first enemy of the liver is alcohol. Along with this, during the holiday, the consumption of sweets and carbonated drinks should be controlled. People with heartburn, gallstone disease, as well as surgery over the past two to three months, should be carefully treated on the eve of the holiday.”

The expert noted the importance of compliance with the correct diet.

“Regardless of what the daily routine, the time of eating should be the same. The number can be increased, but you should carefully monitor the time interval,” the doctor said.

The expert added that sweets are addictive. He recommended drinking sweets with a low sugar content. And he added that sweet drinks and fruit juices do not contain anything nutritious. In addition, they cause diabetes, cancer and diseases of the cardiovascular system:

“People with heartburn usually prefer to drink carbonated water. This is a completely wrong approach. Patients say that relief occurs, but after a few days there are pains. If you drink carbonated water in the middle of the meal, the digestion process is slowed down. It is desirable to drink such water in two hours before or two hours after eating. “
