Android smartphone users should uninstall the “very dangerous” application. This was announced by cyber expert Zach Doffman in his article for Forbes.
This is a collection of free and paid SuperVPN apps, Doffman noted. According to him, these services have been installed over 100 million times. At the same time, the developers of the application promise that it will protect the privacy of users, but in reality this is not the case.
So, the service is accused of hiding malicious spyware and data leakage. Doffman recalls that in February, the CyberNews research group warned of the sale of VPN user databases, including SuperVPN, on a hacker forum.
“If you want to install a VPN, you need to choose a service from a reputable developer with whom you checked the reviews. You should also avoid free apps – they are free for a reason,” the expert advised.
Earlier it was reported that data from 21 million users of free VPN apps for Android hit the Internet.
