Prices for the purchase and rental of real estate in Turkey can increase even more in the near future after destructive earthquakes in the southeast of the republic.
This was reported by the Dunia newspaper with reference to real estate experts.
In their opinion, such large cities as Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara will be faced primarily with this problem. The main factors of increasing prices will be a massive move of the country’s inhabitants from regions affected by earthquakes, as well as the absence of any control by the authorities in the real estate market.
, as one of the steps to resolve this problem, experts call control over the increase in the rent so that the tenants do not ask for “unthinkable amounts” for renting an apartment or house. Within the framework of this initiative, it is also proposed to create a national card of the cost of renting housing for each of the 81 provinces of Turkey.
