Honey exports from Turkey in January 2025 increased by 64 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 4 million 150 thousand 888 dollars.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Eastern Black Sea Association of Exporters Ahmet Hamdi Gürdogan informed the Anadol correspondent that in the first month of the year, honey from Turkey was exported to 20 countries.
noting that in January 2024, honey exports amounted to 2 million 530 thousand 931 dollar for 611 tons, Gürdogan said: “In the first month of this year, 1341 tons of honey in the amount of 4 million 150 thousand 888 were exported from Turkey. Thus, this way , the export of honey from our country increased by 119 percent in quantitative and 64 percent in value terms Compared to the same month of last year. “
He added that the United States with an amount of 1 million 783 thousand 701 dollars leads from Turkey for the export of honey from Turkey. It is followed by Germany with 637 thousand 315 dollars and Canada with 483 thousand 189 dollars.
Having stated that they attach great importance to an increase in the variety of countries in export, Gürdogan emphasized that, unlike the same period last year, in the first month of this year, honey was sold in Slovenia, the Netherlands, Kosovo, Bangladesh, Libya and Iceland. < /p>
He noted that focusing on branded and high -quality products in fine packaging will increase honey exports.
