The volume of tomato exports from Turkey in January-June of this year amounted to 326 million 99 thousand dollars. This was reported by “Anadola” with reference to the Association of Unions of Exporters of Southeast Anatolia (GAİB).
According to Gai̇b, the volume of tomato exports from Turkey last year amounted to 377 million 418 thousand dollars. Türkiye exported tomatoes to 54 countries in the considered period.
Directly in January – June 2022, Turkey exported 287,112 tons of tomatoes in the amount of 247 million 577 thousand dollars. Whereas in the same period of this year 325 thousand 241 tons of products in the amount of 326 million 99 thousand dollars were sold. Turkish tomatoes in the period under consideration entered the shelves of 48 countries.
In January-June of this year, Romania became the leading importer of Turkish tomatoes. Turkey exported to Romania in the considered period of tomatoes in the amount of 60 million 783 thousand dollars. This is followed by Ukraine – 51 million 315 thousand dollars, Poland – 38 million 626 thousand dollars and Germany – 35 million 314 thousand dollars.
Russia is located on the fifth in the rating of the export of tomatoes in the first half of the year with 29 million 563 thousand dollars.
