Export of cars from Turkey in the first half of 2024 amounted to 5 billion 643 million 758 thousand dollars.
Such data “Anadolu” leads with reference to the Assembly of Turkish Exporters and the Association of Exporters of the Automobile Industry Uludag (OIB).
In January-June, Turkey has exported cars to 80 countries, autonomous regions and free economic zones.
Passenger cars accounted for 31.9 percent of the total exports of the country’s car industry, the volume of which for the specified period amounted to 17 billion 701 million 161 thousand dollars.
Export of cars from Turkey in January-June increased by 3.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
In January-June of 2023, exports of cars from Turkey amounted to 5 billion 450 million 437 thousand dollars.
France became the leading importer of cars from Turkey in the first half of the year. The export of Turkish cars production in this European country in January-June amounted to 1 billion 16 million 852 thousand dollars.
Italy is in the second place – 710 million $ 268 thousand, in the third – UK – 692 million of 194 thousand dollars. The export of Turkish cars in both countries increased compared to last year, when these indicators amounted to 534 million 938 thousand dollars and 552 million 929 thousand dollars, respectively.
Spain took fourth place in the list of main exporters of cars from Turkey in January-June 2024. The sales amount amounted to 618 million 620 thousand dollars.
Germany is in fifth place. Sales in this European country in the first half of the year increased by 43.3 percent compared to the same period last year – from 377 million 70 thousand dollars to 540 million 450 thousand dollars.
