The General Staff of Ukraine confirmed that on August 26, an American-made F-16 fighter broke up in Ukraine.
In a written statement published in the Telegram account of the General Staff, it is reported that the Ukrainian F-16 aircraft on August 26 made combat sorties during the intensive air strikes of Russia in Ukraine.
“During air battle, the F -16 aircraft showed high efficiency, four enemy cruise missiles were shot down by aviation weapons,” the report said.
The statement states that the connection with the F-16 was lost during entry to the target:
“On the approach to the next purpose, the connection with one of the aircraft was lost. As it turned out later, the plane crashed, the pilot died”.
