Avji told the Anadol correspondent that at the time of the earthquake she was with her husband, daughter and dog in her apartment on the fifth floor of an apartment building.

“The daughter tried to reassure Mihriban, but she was very scared and greatly whined. The tremors stopped and we were able to go down with our neighbors in the apartment opposite. We helped them unlock the door, which we were blocked by the fallen cabinet. Now we live in the tent. Mikhriban sleeping I have in my arms. The first days I didn’t eat anything from fright. She also understood everything and lived this moment. In the tent is calm, and in the room is very restless, ”said Avji.

The woman says that in the early days, together with her husband, daughter and dog, she spent the night in the car, subsequently employees of the Office for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations under the Turkish Government (AFAD) transferred them to the tent town.
Avji said that Mihriban is still afraid to go into the building, despite the fact that several months have passed. “The last time they were visiting relatives for the holidays. But Mikhriban could not stay in the house, the daughter had to take her out into the street,” added a resident of Kakhramanmarash.
