Today, at the age of 43, the famous Latvian football player Andreis Rubines died.
During his rich career, he managed to play in Azerbaijan. In the 2008-2010s, the midfielder played for the Baku Inter (now Shamami), for which he spent 49 matches and scored 9 goals. Together with Inter in the 2009/10 season, Rubins became the champion of Azerbaijan.
Then he moved to Karabakh, for which in the 2010/11 season, due to injury, he spent only 12 matches. And his last club in the player’s career was the Simurg, where he performed in the 2011/12 season, spent 18 matches and scored 1 goal. In 2013, the football player announced his career completion.
Rubins also played for the English “Crystal Peles” and the Moscow “Spartak”. He spent 117 matches for the national team of Latvia, playing, among other things, at Euro 2004, where the Latvians sensationally made their way, overcoming in the butt matches of Tutzi. Since 2014, Andreis has been engaged in coaching activities.
