Today, in the Baku Youth Center, the presentation of the documentary “Success. Elchin Assads”, telling about the life of the Azerbaijani cyclist Elchin Assadova, was held.
The event was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gaibov, President of the Bicycle Federation of Azerbaijan Madat Guliev, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee Genghis Huseynzade and other officials.

Next began the show of the film. It tells how Elchin began his career and achieved historical success, breaking through the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The guy who once worked as a conductor on the bus became the first Azerbaijani to receive the right to perform in competitions in cycling at the Olympics.
The authors of the film also talk about the family of Elchin – to the mother and wife of whom he met in Ukraine.
The career of a cyclist could have developed completely differently. In 2008, he got into a serious accident – Elchina shot down a car. But he was able to recover and return to big sport. He had hard after the blockage, in which he landed during the race in China. In the Chinese hospital, the athlete was overlaid without anesthesia!
