Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Fariz Rzaev arrived in Israel on an official visit. Israeli media report that the focus of the negotiations of a senior diplomat will have practical preparations for the opening of the Azerbaijani embassy.
According to Fariz Rzayev, “with the opening of a diplomatic mission in the relations of the two countries, almost limitless possibilities will open”.
The decision to open the embassy in Israel was made in November 2022 by the parliament of Azerbaijan, then the corresponding decree was signed by President Ilham Aliyev. This step is to increase the level of diplomatic relations between the countries and the publicity of these relations. The creation of the embassy will expand the interaction of the two countries and open new channels for cooperation in the economy, tourism, culture, scientific research and many other areas.
Fariz Rzayev noted that “the union of the two countries is a real miracle, because it is based not only on the common interests, but also on the common history of the two peoples living side by side for more than a thousand years.”
In the program of the visit of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan to Israel, an inspection of possible objects for accommodation of the embassy, a meeting with the former head of Mossad Tamir Pardo. In addition, Fariz Rzaev will meet with representatives of the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
Fariz Rzayev also wants to visit his school teacher, who was repatriated and lives in Israel.
