Fidan: Illegal migration is common problem for entire Mediterranean

The problem of illegal migration is common to all countries of the Mediterranean. This was stated by the Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan at the International Development and Migration Conference in Rome, the correspondent of the Anadolu agency reports with reference to the dipstar.

The conference was convened at the initiative of Italy Prime Minister George Melony.

According to him, regional cooperation is important for resolving the crisis situation that has prevailed in this area.

The diplomat emphasized the need to take measures to suppress illegal migration at its origins.

The Minister explained that for this, the provoking flow of illegal migrants should be eliminated, including conflicts and economic problems.

The Foreign Minister of Turkey called for adhering to the principle of a fair distribution of burden of migration between all interested countries.
