International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) celebrates the 120th anniversary of its founding.
In the capital of France, Paris, an event dedicated to a significant date took place.
The ceremony was attended by President FIFA Gianni Infantino, head of the Global Development Department of Football Arsen Wenger and others.
“120 years of FIFA counted only 7 members, and now there are 211 of them,” Infantino noted in his speech.
President FIFA also thanked the billions of football fans around the world who “make football truly unique.” “FIFA and football could not unite the world without you,” he said.
FIFA was founded on May 21, 1904 in Paris by representatives of Belgium, Denmark, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland and Sweden.
