The final results of the second round of the presidential election on May 28, 2023 in Turkey were sent for publication in the official messenger of the Resmi Gazete government. This was announced on Thursday at a briefing in Ankara, the chairman of the Supreme Electoral Council of Turkey Ahmet Yener.
According to him, that the CEC made decisions on all complaints and appeals in connection with the presidential elections.
“52 million 93 thousand voters took part in the vote on May 28 in Turkey. The turnout amounted to 85.72 percent. In foreign plots, including 1 million 930 thousand citizens voted at the border rooms. The turnout amounted to 56.34 percent. In general, 54 million 24 thousand 601 citizen of Turkey took advantage of the right vote. The total turnover on the vote on May 28 amounted to 84.15 percent, ”said Yener.
The head of the CEC said that according to the final results of the second round of voting in the election of the head of state, Recep Tayyip Erdogan scored 52.18 percent of the vote (27 million 834 thousand 589 ballots), and Kemal Klychdaroglu – 47.82 percent (25 million 504 thousand 704 ballots). “Based on these data, Revzep Tayyip Erdogan was elected by the president of Turkey,” said the head of the Supreme Electoral Council.
