Europe will not be able to resolve the crisis in the Belarusian-Polish border, if not going to concessions in relations with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, reports Financial Times with reference to the diplomatic source in the European Union.
“The resolution of any conflict requires a compromise. We cannot solve this problem, not allowing Lukashenko to win at least something,” said the interlocutor of the publication.
In addition, Financial Times draws attention to the fact that the acting Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel on Wednesday held negotiations with Lukashenko for the second time in three days in order to deoxize the situation in the Belarusian-Polish border.
