Military Finlands began to build fortifications after the fence on the border with Russia, reports Reuters.
Now military personnel are working out the entire chain of construction of dugouts and bunkers.
“They survive after the direct hit of the artillery shell, rockets or something like that. They will withstand the explosion of tens of kilograms of explosives. They are really strong,” said Major Peteri Viitanen.
Finland is afraid not only of Russia’s military invasion as an answer to the country’s accession to NATO. According to officials from Helsinki, Moscow can also send migrants to the border in order to provoke a crisis similar to what happened on the border of Poland and Belarus last year.
