Finland Prime Minister Sanna Marin said that the process of the entry of Finland and Sweden to NATO could “freeze on the spot” if the agreement with Turkey is not reached before the alliance summit in Madrid. It is reported by TASS.
In her opinion, at the current stage, states should move forward, but if existing issues are not resolved to Madrid, then there is a risk that the process of entering Finland and Sweden to the North Atlantic Alliance may freeze in place.
“We do not know how much, but he can freeze for a while,” said Marin.
She emphasized that Finland “seriously” refers to the fears of Turkey and wants to consider them and “if there are any misunderstandings, fix them”
