First death from smallpox of monkeys in Europe

One person died of monkey smallpox in Spain, this is the first death from this infection registered in Europe, according to La Vanguardia with reference to the report of the Spanish Ministry of Health.

Spain is the second country in the world with the largest number of confirmed cases after the United States. The publication notes that usually information about the infected is delayed.

The Spanish Ministry of Health specified that 135 patients with monkeys of monkeys had complications. Hospitalization was required for 120 patients, one of them died.
