Charter flights between Armenia and Turkey, which was discontinued since 2019, resumed on Wednesday evening. According to TASS, the head of the board of directors of the Armenian airline Flyone Armenia Aram Ananan, the plane flew from Yerevan to Istanbul at 18:00 local time.
“Flights Yerevan – Istanbul – Yerevan will be performed twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. In the coming months, the airline plans to perform three flights on the route Yerevan – Istanbul – Yerevan on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays,” Ananyan said .
According to him, 65 passengers will fly out of Yerevan, more than 30 people will fly back. Total airplane 180 seats.
In addition to Flyone Armenia, Armenian aviation authorities also gave permission to perform the flights of the Turkish airline Pegasus – its plane will make the first departure from Istanbul late in the evening on Wednesday and arrive in Yerevan on the night of February 3.
